There are many different ways to help the sanctuary and volunteering is probably one of the most rewarding.
Volunteers are always needed throughout the year to help care for the horses and maintain the land. The Sanctuary couldn't function without such help, so if you can spare some time we'd love to hear from you. Please be aware that anyone under the age of 16 will need to be supervised by a parent or guardian.
If you would like to join us please take a look at our 'to do' list and contact us to let us know how you might like to help, plus the day/s and time/s you would be available.
People who do voluntary work for the Sanctuary on a regular basis have the option to sponsor their favourite horse or pony. If a volunteer donates an agreed amount per month to the Sanctuary they can have access to that horse at any time (to include riding if applicable).
Many requests are received from students wanting to do work experience placements at the Sanctuary. We would love to say yes, but due to legal regulations we are unable to provide any type of work experience, much to our regret.
Would you prefer to help with fundraising? Perhaps you could run a stall at a local fete or car boot sale on our behalf?
Alternatively if you have somewhere suitable for a Happy Horses Sanctuary & Rescue collection box - for example the reception desk at work, shop or the local hostelry - we really value contributions made in this way. Please contact us and we will happily send a box out to you.
Thank you to all our present volunteers and fundraisers, we really do appreciate the hard work you have all contributed to the Sanctuary.
