News
The last six months have seen a number of changes and improvements on the Sanctuary.
Buildings
One of the barns has been converted into 2 stables to accommodate some of the older horses through the winter and a new barn is being built to replace the one that had to be removed at Broadmoor. Work has also begun on a second paddock and stable for L'Amour to enable her to have the freedon to roam in and out of the stable and alleviate the boredom of being kept in a stable all day during bad weather.
Rehoming
The Pony rehoming drive has gone fantastically well. Since last winter we have managed to find homes for all but 3 of the rescued Dartmoor and Shetland ponies. Blondie, Dolly, Daisy, Lark, Charlie Brown, Alfie, Elfin, Eddy, Bill, Beauty, Lightning and Roscoe have all been rehomed with new families and the latest news from they're new owners is very promising. Skylark, Sparky and Suzie are still looking for the right home but we are confident that the perfect families are not far away.
Arrivals
We have had a number of new arrivals over the past six months as well. John Boy is the newest recruit and he has settled in well to his field, although he does get reminded by Misty who the boss is from time to time.
Fundraising
There are plans to hold another fundraising night at the Holme Bush Inn again this year. Watch this space for further info.
