Happy Horses Sanctuary has been involved with the rescue of horses for over 20 years. Our work has helped to rescue and rehome over a hundred horses and ponies. As a charity based organization our work is funded wholly by donations from individuals such as yourself.
There are many ways you can help – you may like to make a one off donation, adopt one of horses or volunteer. Whichever way you choose to help, we thank you.
Typical costs for the centre vary season to season and winter is usually the most expensive time of year. Some typical costs for the sanctuary are listed below.
Costs to maintain land for one month: over £700
Feed during the winter : £250 per month
Shoes and trimming feet: £560 every 6-8 weeks.
How to make a donation
The simplest way to donate is to click on one of the 'Make a donation' buttons below and complete the online forms. If you prefer, you can print our donation form, fill it in and return via post, email or in person with your donation. All cheques should be made payable to Happy Horses Sanctuary & Rescue. Cash can only be accepted in person, please do not send cash by post.
The two forms your donation can take are listed below.
Sponsor a Horse (£20): What better way to help us by adopting one of our horses or ponies? All we ask is for a minimum donation of £20 a year, which goes directly towards the health and upkeep of your chosen equine. In return you will receive an attractive certificate and twice a year we will send you a photograph and update on how your adoptee is getting along. An adoption can also be a special gift for a friend or relative. Simply click the donate button below, complete your payment details through the PayPal secure payment service and you will be taken to the sponsorship form. Thank you.
One Off Donation: As implied this is a one off donation with no attachments. To make a one off donation please click here:
